THE EVANS FAMILY RANCH

The Evans family roots have been on “The Ranch” since 1846, and they are one of the pioneer families of Central Texas and founding families of the town of Brownwood, which was incorporated in 1884.

The Ranch sits in the heart of Texas and is located on Lake Brownwood, which is 7 miles north of Brownwood, TX. Currently 5 Evans families crossing 3 generations call The Ranch home. It is a wonderful and quiet place to enjoy God’s creation and the beauty of Texas. There are fun lake activities such as fishing, swimming and paddle boarding, as well as ax throwing. You can sit and rest under the live oak trees, take a stroll on the lakefront, ride through the pastures winding roads, enjoy the shade of the front porch and rock the time away in one of the rocking chairs. The best way to end the day is watching the sunset over the lake, then spend time under the stars at the fire-pit enjoying s’mores.

The Retreat House is a 5 bedroom, 3 bath home with double occupancy per room. Each guest room is fully stocked with all the amenities: sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, hair dryer and fan, as well as the personal items you may have forgotten. It is accessed through the north gate of The Ranch from Bluebonnet Lane.
